Alabama Man Indicted for Involuntary Manslaughter

On Tuesday, August 25, a federal grand jury indicted a man from Huntsville, Alabama for involuntary manslaughter.

According to officials, 24 year old Cedric Conrood was indicted following an accident on July 3 when he was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe SUV on the Natchez Trace Parkway at around 12.30 p.m. which crossed the center line near milepost 244.5 just north of the Davis Lake exit. He then hit a Honda CRV coming in the opposite direction. In the crash, 62 year old Steven Allen Foster of Broxton Mississippi was killed and pronounced dead at the scene and his wife, Mary Katherine Foster was injured and taken to the North Mississippi Medical Center (NMMC) in Tupelo.

Coonrod was also transported to NMMC along with the two passengers in his vehicle.

No trial date has yet been set for Conrood.
